Ingredients:
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 packs ramen noodles
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
- Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and water in a small bowl until the cornstarch is fully dissolved.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers. Add the sliced beef in a single layer, sear undisturbed for 2 minutes, flip and cook for 1 more minute. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil to the same pan. Add broccoli and stir for 1 minute. Pour in a splash of water, cover with a lid, and steam for 3 minutes until bright green.
- Boil ramen noodles for 2 minutes (undercooked), drain, and rinse with cold water.
- Add the drained noodles and cooked beef with its juices back into the pan with the broccoli. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens into a glossy glaze.
