Ingredients:
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (100g) packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Place the flour in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let it cool completely.
- Beat the softened butter and cream cheese together on medium-high speed until the mixture looks pale and fluffy.
- Gradually add both brown sugar and granulated sugar and the salt, beating for another 2 minutes until the texture is smooth and airy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Using a spatula, gently fold in the chocolate chips by hand until evenly distributed.
