Ingredients:
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups (355ml) warm water
- 1 tsp (6g) salt
- 2.25 tsp (7g) instant yeast
- 1 tbsp (14g) sugar
- 8 oz (225g) sharp cheddar cheese, cubed small
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 0.5 cup (50g) grated parmesan cheese
- 0.25 tsp (1g) garlic powder
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
- Pour in the warm water and stir with a spatula until a shaggy, sticky dough forms and no dry flour remains.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and leave it in a warm, draft-free spot for 2 hours until the dough has doubled in size.
- Gently fold the cubed cheddar cheese into the risen dough, ensuring chunks remain intact.
- Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined loaf pan or a preheated Dutch oven.
- Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan and garlic powder.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 30–40 minutes until the crust is deep mahogany brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Transfer to a wire rack and let it cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
