Ingredients:
- 2.5 lb flank steak
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Mince the garlic finely. Crack the black pepper fresh to keep the flavor sharp.
- Whisk the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and fresh lime juice in a bowl.
- Slowly stream in the olive oil. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Note: This prevents the oil from separating.
- Stir in the honey and Dijon mustard until they dissolve completely.
- Place the flank steak in the Ziploc bag. Pour in the Flank Steak Marinade and squeeze out the air before sealing.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 24 hours. Note: Don't go over 24 hours or the meat gets mushy.
- Heat your grill or cast iron pan to high.
- Sear the steak for 5 minutes per side until a mahogany crust forms.
- Remove the meat and let it rest for 10 minutes. Note: This keeps the juices inside the meat.
- Slice thinly against the grain.
