Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (115g) vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) grenadine syrup
  • 1 cup (240ml) chilled lemon-lime soda
  • 1 maraschino cherry
  • 1 slice (5g) fresh lemon or lime wheel

Instructions:

  1. Place your glass in the freezer for 10 minutes prior to assembly to maintain the structure of the float.
  2. Place one generous scoop of vanilla ice cream into the bottom of the chilled glass and drizzle the grenadine syrup directly over the ice cream.
  3. Tilt the glass at a 45-degree angle and slowly pour the chilled lemon-lime soda down the inside wall of the glass until it is 3/4 full.
  4. Carefully place a maraschino cherry on top of the foam and perch a thin lemon or lime slice on the rim of the glass.
