Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flounder fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp fine sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Use paper towels to pat the flounder fillets completely dry. Arrange them in a single layer, rub with olive oil, and season evenly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, zest, and minced garlic.
  4. Stir in the chopped parsley. Pour the mixture evenly over each fillet, using a spoon to ensure the edges are fully coated.
  5. Bake in the center rack for 12–15 minutes until the flesh transforms from translucent to an opaque, pearlescent white and flakes easily with a fork.
